Terms of Use

1. Using the App

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Macs you own or control, for personal or business use, under these terms. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the App or modified copies of it, remove our notices, or use the App to break any law or anyone else’s rights. We keep all rights we don’t expressly grant.

The App is in early access. Features can change, break or be removed, and we may stop offering the App or any version of it at any time, without notice.

2. Your content and your responsibility

The App runs on your Mac and does what you tell it to: it fetches posts, saves media, writes captions and publishes to accounts you connect. We don’t host, review, approve or control any of that content, and we aren’t a party to anything you publish.

You are solely responsible for:

• having the rights, licences or permission you need to download, store, edit and publish any content, including other people’s videos, photos, captions and likenesses;
• complying with copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, advertising and consumer laws wherever you and your audience are;
• following the terms, community guidelines and automation or API rules of every platform you use, including Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr, Bluesky, Reddit, X and Telegram;
• checking every caption, hashtag, credit and AI-generated text or image before it goes out.

Crediting a creator does not give you permission to use their work. The App can record who gave permission, but it can’t check that permission exists or is valid.

Platforms can rate-limit, restrict, suspend or ban accounts that use automated tools, and they can change their rules or APIs at any time. Any such action against your accounts, and any loss that follows from it, is your risk and not ours.

3. Third-party services

The App connects directly from your Mac to services you choose, such as social platforms, AI providers (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Ollama or LM Studio), Telegram, media hosting such as Cloudflare R2, and open-source tools such as Python, yt-dlp and gallery-dl. Those services are run by others under their own terms, privacy policies and prices. Any usage fees they charge, including AI API fees, are yours. We aren’t responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes that stop a feature working.

AI output can be wrong, offensive, repetitive or similar to existing work. Treat it as a draft and review it before you publish.

4. No affiliation

Social Snagger is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, ByteDance, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr, Automattic, Bluesky, Reddit, X, Telegram, Apple, OpenAI, Anthropic or any other company named on the Service. Their names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

5. Tips and payments

Downloading the App is pay what you want, and $0 is a valid choice. Tips are processed by Polar, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and handles payment, receipts and any applicable sales tax or VAT under its own terms. A tip is a voluntary contribution toward development. It does not buy a different version of the App, support, updates, uptime or any other promise. Tips are generally not refundable. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us and we’ll look at it.

6. Unsigned builds and downloads

Current builds are not signed or notarized by Apple, so macOS asks you to approve the App before it opens. Choosing to open it is your decision. Download the App only from snagger.social, and check the SHA-256 checksum on the download page if you want to confirm your copy matches ours. We aren’t responsible for copies obtained anywhere else.

7. Back up your data

Your library, schedule, settings and logins are stored on your Mac. We can’t see them or recover them. Keep your own backups (for example with Time Machine). Updates may change how data is stored, and we don’t guarantee that data survives an update, a rollback or a bug.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults, and you use it at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; that posts will publish on time, correctly or at all; that downloads, captions or AI output will be accurate, lawful or suitable; that data will not be lost or corrupted; or that any defect will be fixed. No advice or information from us creates any warranty.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our owners, team members and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, followers, reach, data, goodwill or business, or for account suspensions, takedowns, copyright claims, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or related to the Service, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Some places don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited. In those places our exclusions and limits apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be waived.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless 1320 Group and its owners and team members from any claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you download or publish with the App, your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or anyone else’s rights, including a platform’s terms.

11. Copyright complaints

We don’t host content that people publish with the App. If you believe a post made with Social Snagger infringes your rights, please report it to the platform where it appears and to the account that posted it. Platforms have their own takedown processes. For anything hosted on this Site itself, contact us through 1320.digital.

12. Ending use

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App and its data. We may end or suspend your access to the Site or future downloads if you break these terms. Sections 2 and 4 to 13 continue after your use ends.

13. Changes and general terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
