Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Social Snagger Mac app (the “App”) and the website at snagger.social(the “Site”) handle, and why. Social Snagger is made by 1320 Group (“we”, “us”).
The short version
- The App sends nothing to us. No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your library, logins and keys stay on your Mac.
- The App talks directly to the services you connect, such as social platforms, AI providers and Telegram.
- The Site counts visits without cookies and stores the email you give us to download the app or join early access. Tips go through Polar.
- We don’t sell personal information and we don’t run ads.
1. The Mac app
Stored on your Mac
Everything the App works with is stored locally in ~/Library/Application Support/Social Snagger: your media library, captions, hashtags, schedule, brands, settings, logs, and the logins, access tokens and API keys you enter. Folders you link are read in place. We have no access to any of it.
Logins and keys are stored in the App’s local library and are not separately encrypted by Social Snagger. Anyone who can sign in to your Mac user account could read them, so use a strong Mac password and keep FileVault turned on.
Sent from your Mac to services you choose
The App connects directly to the services you set up, and only to do what you ask. For example:
- Platforms you fetch from or post to (such as Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr, Bluesky, Reddit and X) receive the requests and the posts, media and captions you publish.
- AI providers you add a key for (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter) receive the text, images and prompts you send for captions, slides and pictures. Ollama and LM Studio run on your own Mac.
- Telegram receives hand-off messages, media and captions sent to your own bot.
- Media hosting you configure, such as Cloudflare R2, receives files that need a public link for posting.
- Package sources such as GitHub and the Python Package Index are contacted when you install or update the fetch tools.
Each of those services handles your data under its own privacy policy. The App does not send analytics, crash reports, usage data or your content to us.
2. The website
Visit counts
When you view a page we record: the page path, the domain of the site that linked you (not the full address), any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), a device type worked out from screen width (mobile, tablet or desktop), your browser language, and a random visitor ID kept in your browser’s local storage. We don’t use cookies for this, we don’t store your IP address in these records, and we don’t use advertising or cross-site trackers. If your browser blocks local storage, no visit is recorded.
Early access sign-up
If you join the early access list we store your email address, any note you add, and where you came from. We use it to tell you about the launch and updates to Social Snagger. You can ask to be removed at any time.
Downloads
The app is free in exchange for joining our email list. When you download it we store your email address, the version you downloaded, any tip amount, and the domain of the site that linked you, and we add you to the list. We email you about updates, tips for using Social Snagger and launch news. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Tips
Tips are handled by Polar, which collects your payment details and billing information as the seller of record, under Polar’s privacy policy. We receive order details such as your email address, the amount and the App version. We never see your full card number.
Service providers
The Site is hosted by Lovable and its infrastructure providers, and its database runs on Lovable Cloud. Like most web hosts, they may keep short-lived server logs that include IP addresses for security and reliability. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request (including your IP address) to Google when a page loads.
3. How we use and share data
We use Site data to run and improve the Site, understand which pages and links people use, email early-access members, and process tips. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it except with the service providers above who help us run the Site, or when the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
Email addresses from downloads and early access are kept until you unsubscribe, ask us to remove them, or we close the list. Visit counts are kept while they’re useful for understanding traffic. Payment records are kept by Polar and by us as long as tax and accounting rules require.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for the email list, and on our legitimate interest in running and understanding the Site for visit counts. To make a request, contact us through 1320.digital.
App data never reaches us, so you control it directly: delete ~/Library/Application Support/Social Snagger to remove it, and revoke the App’s access in each connected service’s settings.
6. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process Site data in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change we’ll say so on the Site. See also our Terms of Use.
